2017 flagship killer OnePlus 5 is now officially available in the Philippines!

Crafted to compete directly with far more expensive flagship-level smartphones in the market, the OnePlus 5 comes with a stunning set of top calibre features both inside and out!

Design-wise, OnePlus5 looks fairly close to the Apple iPhone 7 Plus but has a thinner frame and lighter construction -- making it easier to hold and keep in the pocket.

Like the iPhone, it even has a "Silent" switch on the left panel, which turns off all notifications, as well as inconspicuous antenna bands right on the top and rear edges.

True to its legendary 'Flagship Killer' moniker, the all-new OnePlus 5 doesn't only have the most powerful set of internal hardware that you can get on any smartphone out in the market but it also has a Dual Camera module with beastly specs and an ultra-sleek design language.

Officially announced on Tuesday - June 20, 2017, OnePlus 5 has almost the same dimensions and feel as its equally stunning predecessor, the OnePlus 3T -- but it is thinner and has a rounder look, softer edges, and less noticeable antenna bands. Powered by a non-removable 3,300 Li-Po battery pack that works with the more energy-efficient chipset to deliver 20% longer uptime compared to the OnePlus 3T and supports Dash Fast-Charging, OnePlus 5 will be available in key markets around the globe - including the United States, UK, Denmark, Sweden, and China - starting on June 27, 2017. The official suggested retail price for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB ROM version is $480 USD while the 8GB RAM/128GB ROM version is $540 USD. It's not particularly cheap but it's definitely more affordable than flagship handsets by other brands that have slightly inferior processor and amount of RAM.

No word yet from Digits Trading Corporation - the official distribution partner of OnePlus here in the Philippines - on OnePlus 5's release date in our market. Nonetheless, our guesstimate for its availability here will be sometime in Q3 2017 with price tag starting at more or less Php 27,000 for the base model.
